We have owned our farm in Ashtabula County since 1996. Mike is a (at least) fourth generation vegetable grower from Marietta, Ohio whose parents still farm on his great-grand parents’ farm. Diane is originally from the Cleveland suburb of Broadview Heights. We met at The Ohio State University where Diane studied animal science and received her doctor of veterinary medicine degree. Mike received a B.S. in natural resources management and graduated from the college of law. Diane’s employment opportunity led us to Ashtabula County.
Both Mike and Diane love the outdoors and decided to buy a farm for acreage to roam. Mike had always had a garden and his "little garden" continued to grow until we now have over 25 acres of vegetables. We grow everything from asparagus to zucchini plus Diane raises free range laying hens and pasture raised meat chickens.
We sell our products to restaurants that specialize in locally grown produce, at the Countryside Conservancy farmers market on Saturdays, the Ashtabula Harbor farmers market on Sundays and through our CSA program.
